Outside of pollination (Perpetual Garden), this is not possible.
When this happens, it means that the guest is in a perpetual Garden and has used the link from this position.
Abundance's algorithm has this special feature that allows you to advance all the Gardens in your lineage by placing the guest in one of the Gardens where there are still a few Sowing spots left.
